Kopal "URFA" – Traditional Armenian Drum
The Kopal (also called Davul) is a signature percussion instrument of traditional Armenian folk music — played with sticks, driven by rhythm, and built to energize the most festive celebrations. With its deep, powerful voice, it sits at the heart of Armenian musical heritage, carrying the spirit of the Caucasus in every beat.
The Goris model is designed for intermediate players stepping into that tradition with confidence. Its transparent Japan Premium drumheads give it a clean, distinctive look while delivering a warm, resonant tone true to the classic Armenian sound. Built from solid Polywood, it offers reliable performance and a traditional aesthetic — straightforward, honest, and built to last.
Handcrafted in Armenia by the Asilbekyan workshop, with the authenticity and care the tradition demands.
